Many of you have some questions before booking a tour with me, so that's why I've created this list of Frequently Asked Questions. It's highly recomended you read all of them before booking a tour:

Can I book a tour for today or tomorrow? What's the minimum number of days in advance I can book?
In order to make sure we have enough time to arrange your tour, we ask that all travelers book 48 hours in advance.

Do you require a payment to secure my booking?
Yes, we require a 20% deposit to secure your booking. The rest can be paid via Paypal invoice or the booking page on this site at any time prior to 24 hours before the tour, or can be paid at the beginning of the first day of the tour. We require full payment to the tour guide at that time, in the form of either dollars or RMB (please note we use the the daily "Interbank Rate" minus five percent to figure the amount owed in RMB).

What is your cancellation/refund poicy?
A 100% refund will be given for all cancellations made seven days prior to your tour. Within seven days, we are only able to refund 80% of your trip's cost (no return of deposit, or alternatively, 80% back on prior full payment), due to certain costs we incur in preparation for your arrival.

We will try our best to be flexible and accomodate you, if your immediate travel plans are altered by circumstances beyond your control. However, we make no guarantee we will be able to make such arrangements. Please contact Emma if such a situation comes up. And remember, it's always wise to have travel insurance, just for this kind of situation! :)

Are entrance fees and meals included in the tour price?
Meals listed on the iteneraries are included. Entrance fees are not included. Here is a list of entrance fees you will encounter on our tours (prices in RMB):

Terracotta Warriors: ¥150
Xi'an City Wall: ¥40 (Bike rental add'l ¥40)
Banpo Neolithic Village: ¥80

Will there be other people/parties on my tour?
No, all of our tours are private. Only you/your party will be on the tour you book. This way we can make the tour as personalized as possible for you, catering to your individual needs.

I wanted to do a custom tour that is not covered by any of the pre-packaged tours. Is that possible?
Yes, please use our contact page and tell Emma what you are looking for. She will be happy to work with you, and create the perfect tour to meet your needs.

Do you offer any group discounts?
Yes, please see our Book Online page to see our prices and discounts. Contact Emma if your group is larger than we provide for on our pre-defined price list.

What languages are available for tours?
Currently, tours are only available in English. (and Chinese, of course! :)

Do you offer airport or train station pick-ups and drop-offs?
Airport/train station pick-ups and drop-offs are not included in our tour prices. However, contact Emma before booking, and we can make special arrangements for you.

Is Emma the tour guide of all Emma's Tours trips?
Emma tries her best to lead as many tours as possible; however, often depending on the season, you or your group may be led by an equally-qualified and enthusiastic licensed tour guide from our team. Don't worry, you will always be in good hands -- we personally attend to each of our customers to make their Xi'an experience the best possible. Emma does personally answer all of her emails (see our Contact Page).

Why does it show up as 'Creative Endeavors Ltd.' when I go to pay?
Creative Endeavors Ltd. is the company we use to handle payments. Don't worry, it's not a scam or anything. The transaction will show up as "PAYPAL*CREATIVEEND*" on your bank/credit card statement.
